Free mobility electric transportation provided to COVID-19 patients for hospital trips in Delhi by Prakriti E-Mobility
The Delhi government, in collaboration with Prakriti E-mobility, has launched the 'Jeevan Seva App' to provide a free electric cab service for COVID-19 patients and their family members. This initiative aims to help patients commute to hospitals and healthcare centres without any charges.
The app, available on both the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store, allows users to enter their pick-up and drop locations to book a cab. With over 160 world-class electric vehicles plying on the road 24/7, the service is available round the clock.
The 'Jeevan Seva App' has served over 42,000 non-critical patients so far. To book a cab, users need to register through OTP. The nearest available cab will be automatically dispatched to serve the user.
The service offers a dedicated EV Cab service for COVID-19 patients in Delhi. The electric vehicles provided are properly sanitized for the safety of the patients. This initiative has added efficiency to Delhi's Emergency Commute Services by enabling ambulances to be more available for serious requests.
The government of India invited Prakriti E-mobility to cooperate in providing free electric vehicle transport for COVID-19 patients and their relatives to medical facilities. The Delhi Health Minister, Satyendar Jain, has appealed to people to download the Jeevan Seva app for the service.
