Cyclist Involved in Traffic Accident in Flensburg
A traffic accident involving a cyclist occurred on August 25, 2025, at the intersection of Ziegeleistraße/Swinemünderstraße in Flensburg. According to news aktuell, the incident involved a 29-year-old cyclist who sustained severe, but not life-threatening injuries.
The cyclist received initial medical treatment from the deployed rescue services and a doctor at the scene. The cyclist suffered injuries to the pelvic and thigh area in the collision. After the initial treatment, the cyclist was taken to the hospital.
In the incident, a 47-year-old driver was traveling with a car on Swinemünder Straße. After several cars had passed the junction, the 47-year-old turned left into Ziegeleistraße. At the junction, the driver collided with the cyclist who was traveling in the direction of Kielseng on the roadway.
Following the accident, traffic in the direction of Flensburg had to be temporarily blocked for the accident investigation. Both the car and the racing bike were towed away for further examination. An expert, referred to as a "Sachverständiger" (expert/appraiser), was called in by the Flensburg police directorate for the accident investigation at the intersection Ziegeleistraße/Swinemünderstraße on 27.08.25. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Flensburg was consulted for the accident investigation.
