The Bregenz Handball team started their inaugural season in the HLA league with a narrow victory against Jags Vöslau, securing two valuable points in the process. The game, played with intense atmosphere, ended in a thrilling 35:34 in favour of Bregenz.

The match began with a bang as new signing Mindaugas Dumcius scored the first goal for Bregenz. Dumcius went on to score an impressive 7 goals in the game, setting the tone for the rest of the team. His performance was matched by that of Louis Mönch, who emerged as the top scorer of the evening with 11 goals.

Bregenz led by six goals at one point, but Jags fought back valiantly and managed to tie the game in the 48th minute. However, Mönch scored a crucial goal 33 seconds before the final whistle, giving Bregenz the lead they needed to secure the win.

The team's defence also played a pivotal role in the game, managing to hold onto the one-goal lead until the end despite the close nature of the game. It was a testament to their focus and determination that they were able to withstand Jags' late onslaught.

Marko Tanasković, the coach of the Bregenz Handball team, was pleased with the team's performance. Along with Dumcius and Mönch, another new signing, Tommaso Romei, also had a successful HLA league debut, scoring 6 goals in the game.

Looking ahead, Bregenz's next match is scheduled for September 13 against Fivers Margareten, with the game set to start at 20:20. Meanwhile, Alpla HC Hard will begin their HLA season on September 5 against UHC Hollabrunn, with the match starting at 19:00.
