Friends construct Red Hook Pinball Museum, featuring pinball machines dating back to the 1880s
The Red Hook Pinball Museum, a unique attraction in the Red Hook neighbourhood of Brooklyn, is set to host a pinball tournament this Saturday. The museum, co-founded by Kevin Murray, is home to one of the only playable collections of electromechanical pinball machines in New York City.

However, a slight hiccup in one of the machines' functionality has caused it to sometimes give four balls instead of five when reset. This issue arose recently when Kevin Murray, the museum's co-founder, performed an emergency repair on a 1964 Gottlieb "Majorettes" pinball machine at Seaborne, a Red Hook cocktail bar. During the repair, the ball count stepper unit snapped off completely.
Despite this obstacle, Murray managed to fix the pinball machine, ensuring it will be fully functional for the tournament. The repair was performed while there were 20 people in the bar, demonstrating Murray's quick thinking and expertise.
The pinball tournament at the Red Hook Pinball Museum is scheduled to start at 2 p.m., but there is no specific information available about who is organizing the event.
