Funds from federal taxes allocated to combat unlawful internet betting activities
The Federal Tax Service of Russia is set to develop a new information-analytical platform aimed at identifying and combating illegal online activities, particularly in the realm of gambling, bookmakers, and lotteries.
The project's development will commence immediately following the signing of a contract with the selected contractor. The system, due for completion by August 2026, will be integrated with existing state systems and databases to enhance its effectiveness and automation.
One of the key features of the new platform is its ability to automatically monitor the Internet, scanning for sites associated with gambling, bookmakers, and lotteries. The system will also be integrated with the Unified Register of Prohibited Sites (Roskomnadzor) for automatic blocking of identified violators.
The new platform will be a modular system, combining different key blocks for monitoring and analysis. It will automatically collect evidence when suspicions arise about a site, including screenshots, video recordings, and technical metadata. This evidence will form a base for subsequent blocking and will be sent for expert evaluation.
The system will also be integrated with the ERAI monitoring system to ensure coordination of activities between agencies and the exchange of information about illegal resources. Additionally, it will be integrated with the Unified Automated Information System (EAIS) for working with citizens' complaints and appeals.
The new information-analytical platform is designed to help in combating illegal gambling in the Russian Federation by providing a more efficient and automated means of identifying and stopping the activities of illegal online casinos and lotteries. At present, there is no publicly available information about the name of the contractor with whom the Russian Ministry of Finance will sign a contract for the development of this new platform.
