Funds given to the Local Children's Fire Department in Lünen: Network Frau e.V. introduces Go-Kart donation

In a heartwarming display of community support, the Netzwerk Frau e.V. organisation, known for its long-standing commitment to family and women's projects in Luenen, Germany, donated a new go-kart to the Luenen Children's Fire Brigade on August 21, 2025.

The donation event took place in the presence of the Children's Fire Brigade, members of the association, and the volunteer fire department. Sandra Babucke, the deputy city children's fire chief, expressed her delight at the engagement, stating that it makes youth promotion fun.

Madeleine Zippro, the 1st chairwoman of Netzwerk Frau e.V. Luenen, explained that the association donated the new go-kart because it is both useful and fun. The new go-kart complements the offerings of the Luenen Children's Fire Brigade with another playful element that promotes movement and community spirit.

The Luenen Children's Fire Brigade, in addition to teaching fire safety, promotes team spirit, a sense of responsibility, and social interaction. During the event, the children were able to see a fire engine and a turntable ladder up close.

The donation campaign was organised by Verein Netzwerk Frau e.V., and the organisation that made the donation for the new go-kart of the Lünen Children's Fire Brigade Association on August 21, 2025, was the Sparkasse.

This donation is part of the benefit action "Strong Children, Strong Future" by Netzwerk Frau e.V., a broader initiative aimed at supporting children and young people in Luenen. The association specifically supports projects for children and young people in the city.

A public highlight of the benefit action is planned for August 31, from 11 am to 2 pm, at the Gahmener Hof, where a benefit event will take place and the Children's Fire Brigade will participate. The benefit action is set to continue throughout the year.

Members of the association also had the opportunity to look inside the emergency vehicle, further strengthening the bond between the two organisations. This generous donation not only brings joy to the children but also fosters a sense of unity and camaraderie in the Luenen community.
