Future of Education Explored in Hainburg's AzubiTalk: Insights Discussed
In a recent development, the "AzubiTalk" event, held on November 7th and 8th at Kreuzburgschule Hainburg, proved to be a significant success in fostering career opportunities for young people in the region.
Organised by the Agentur für Arbeit Seligenstadt, the Economic Development offices of Seligenstadt and Hainburg, and other regional partners, the event attracted over 150 young participants.
Marie Servais, Economic Development of Einhardstadt Seligenstadt, and Daniela Kschiwan, Economic Development Hainburg, emphasised the commitment to presenting young people with career prospects early on and connecting them with companies in the region. Both expressed their satisfaction with the event, stating that it offered a real added value for students and companies alike.
The high demand for the event underscores its importance for successful career orientation. The goal of the "AzubiTalk" was to provide students with a comprehensive picture of the regional training landscape while also highlighting the importance of skilled workers in the region.
Apprentices presented their professions and provided insights into the requirements and opportunities of their respective training paths. This allowed students to gain a first-hand understanding of the various career paths available to them.
The close cooperation between the Economic Development offices, the Agentur für Arbeit, the region's schools, the Chamber of Crafts, and other partners was instrumental in the success of the "AzubiTalk". The event provided an opportunity for students to engage in direct conversations with apprentices and trainers, as well as ask questions about individual job profiles and establish initial contacts for potential internships or training positions.
Pia Ullrich from the Agentur für Arbeit Seligenstadt commented on the format, stating that it offers young people the chance to shape their own career prospects. She further added that the success of the event underscores the importance of early career orientation for young people in the region.
The success of the "AzubiTalk" event has led the organisers to plan new events to continue fostering the exchange between schools, companies, and young people. Future events will be organised by the Berufsverband Bildender Künstlerinnen und Künstler MV (BBK) for the "Kunst für Schule" project supported by the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern; the DRK-Beratungsstelle Hückelhoven and the school psychological service of the district Heinsberg for cross-school diversity exchange events; and networks affiliated with Girls' Day and Boys' Day, facilitated by local regional representatives and supported by organisations like the Körber-Stiftung for related initiatives.
The organisers are aiming to inspire even more young people to consider regional training opportunities through their planned future events. By providing young people with early exposure to career prospects and opportunities, these events aim to help shape the future workforce of the region.
