In the thrilling world of Formula 1 (F1), young French talent Isack Hadjar continues to make waves. At the recent Dutch Grand Prix, Hadjar showcased his skills, securing a impressive third-place finish in his 15th Grand Prix start.
Hadjar, the fifth-youngest F1 driver on the podium and the youngest Frenchman on the list, had a strong qualifying performance, placing his VCARB 02 in P4, just three tenths of a second behind Max Verstappen. During the race, he skillfully kept George Russell and Charles Leclerc behind him, demonstrating his racing prowess.
The 21-year-old's success has not gone unnoticed. Many in the F1 paddock believe it's only a matter of time before Hadjar is promoted to a championship-winning team. F1 expert Christian Danner, in particular, has praised Hadjar's performance, calling it "fantastic".
However, Danner also expressed concerns about Red Bull's approach to car construction. He believes that Red Bull prioritizes wind tunnel data for speed, leaving drivers to handle the rest, which he considers wrong. Danner is not alone in his criticism, with fellow F1 expert Paul Monaghan and Pierre Wache, Red Bull's chief engineer and technical director, following a design philosophy that Danner disagrees with.
Despite the controversy, Hadjar's performance has been undeniably impressive. In the World Championship standings, he is the second-best driver in the Red Bull lineup with 37 points and a 10th place.
Meanwhile, another young talent, Kimi Antonelli, is making a name for himself. The rookie currently holds the 7th position in the 2025 F1 Drivers' Championship with 64 points after the Netherlands Grand Prix. Antonelli, unfortunately, is not part of the list of the five most recent Frenchmen on the F1 podium, a list that includes Hadjar, Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Jean Alesi, and Romain Grosjean.
In a surprising turn of events, Oliver Bearman had a strong race at Zandvoort, driving from the pit lane to sixth place. This impressive performance serves as a reminder that the F1 season is far from over, and there's still much to look forward to.
As for Hadjar, he hasn't yet sat in the Red-Bull cockpit before the Canadian Grand Prix. Despite Danner's belief that Hadjar is a clear candidate for Red Bull, he doubts that Red Bull will make another driver change during the season.
The F1 world eagerly awaits to see how Hadjar's career unfolds, with many hoping that he will continue to shine and potentially make his way to a championship-winning team.
