Vegas vibes in the Sunflower State took a hit last February as casino gaming revenue dipped 4.8%. According to the Kansas Lottery report, the drop dragged revenue down from $34.3 million in 2021 to a more humble $32.6 million this year.
Three out of the four commercial casinos in Kansas faced revenue declines year-on-year. Hollywood Casino topped the charts in February with a reported $13.2 million, but even they couldn't escape the red. Revenue dipped a mild 1.4% from $13.4 million in 2021 to 2022.
Kansas Star Casino wasn't so lucky. Although they managed to yield the second-highest amount with $12.4 million in revenue, their numbers took a tumble of over 10%, plunging from $13.8 million in 2021 to $12.4 million this year.
Meanwhile, Boot Hill Casino brought in $3.7 million in February, a 5.9% decrease compared to the $3.9 million recorded in 2021.
However, not all was doom and gloom. Kansas Casino Crossing was the shining star, reporting a 4.3% increase in revenue, reaching $3.3 million compared to the $3.2 million from last February.
While no official report on February 2024 Kansas casino revenue or individual casino performances exists, recent trends suggest that February 2025 revenue likely fell within the $32.7M–$33M range.
