Gaming company SharpLink significantly increases its crypto treasury, now valued at over 521,000 Ether, equivalent to approximately $1.9 billion.
SharpLink Gaming, Inc., a company with a focus on Ethereum, is currently trading down 3% on Tuesday, according to The Block's SBET price page, at $18.59. This decline, however, does not seem to deter the company's ambitious plans.
SharpLink, under its strategic vision, believes in Ethereum's foundational role in decentralized finance. The company, which is the second-largest corporate holder of Ether (ETH) globally, has recently increased its ETH holdings to 521,939. This growth was reported on August 3, 2025.
The company's latest ETH acquisition, amounting to 83,561 ETH, was purchased between July 28 and August 3 for around $303.7 million. The average price of ETH purchased was $3,634 per ETH.
Joseph Chalom, Co-CEO of SharpLink, has reiterated the company's commitment to its mission of creating shareholder value by building the largest ETH treasury company. The company's strategy integrates cryptocurrency into its balance sheets as a hedge against inflation and a store of value.
SharpLink has also introduced a new metric, "ETH Concentration," currently at 3.66, which measures the number of ETH held per 1,000 assumed diluted shares.
In addition to its ETH acquisition, SharpLink has been generating cumulative staking rewards since launching its treasury strategy on June 2, 2025. As of now, the company has generated 929 ETH in staking rewards. The staking component of the strategy allows the company to generate yield on its assets, adding a revenue stream beyond simple price appreciation.
The funding for SharpLink's latest ETH acquisition came from an ongoing At-the-Market (ATM) facility. This facility raised $264.5 million through the sale of 13.6 million Sharplink common shares in the past week.
It's worth noting that Consensys CEO and Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin chairs SharpLink, following a Consensys-led $425 million private placement for SharpLink in May.
Another significant player in the Ether market is BitMine, which started actively accumulating Ether since June 2025 and currently holds approximately 1,713,899 ETH as part of its treasury strategy initiated on June 30, 2025.
In conclusion, SharpLink Gaming, Inc. continues to demonstrate its commitment to Ethereum, with its strategic moves reflecting a long-term belief in the network's role in future finance.
