Gaming conglomerate Penn Entertainment announces the addition of Ronnie Jones, a former chair of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, to their compliance committee
Ronnie Jones Joins Penn Entertainment's Compliance Committee
Ronnie Jones, a seasoned public servant with over four decades of experience, has been appointed as an independent member of Penn Entertainment's Compliance Committee. This move is expected to bolster the committee's efforts in maintaining compliance and integrity within Penn's extensive gaming operations.
Jones brings a wealth of experience to the table, having spent more than 30 years with the Louisiana State Police and serving as the Chair of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB) from 2013 to 2020. During his tenure at the LGCB, he oversaw the operational integrity of gaming in Louisiana, which included 15 riverboat properties, land-based casinos, four racetrack slot gaming facilities, and more than 2,000 licensed video poker establishments.
Jones' contributions extend beyond Louisiana. He played a key role in establishing the regulatory groundwork for legalizing sports betting in Louisiana in 2022. His efforts were recognised when he was named North American Regulator of the Year in 2017 by the International Masters of Gaming Law.

The Compliance Committee, chaired by an independent non-director member, Thomas N. Auriemma, is central to Penn Entertainment's commitment to the gaming industry. The committee's work is of utmost importance, as stated by Snowden, who emphasised, "Ensuring compliance and integrity in our operations is of the utmost importance to us at Penn Entertainment."
Newly elected Penn board members Johnny Hartnett and Carlos Ruisanchez also serve on the Compliance Committee, further strengthening its ranks. With Jones' expertise, the committee is poised to uphold the highest standards of compliance and integrity across Penn's casinos, racetracks, and online sports betting and iCasino offerings across 28 jurisdictions in North America.
