The journey to a solution began with the replacement of the energy selector switch in the motor-driven refrigerator. This is indicative of a failed thermocouple, but tests revealed that the thermocouple was functioning perfectly. Upon closer inspection, a broken ignition lead was found and a new one was ordered.
Finally, a new energy selector switch was installed, and the problem was fixed. The fridge now operates as intended, providing much-needed relief to the motorhome owner.
