Geestland Police Station Conducts Targeted Checks for Impaired Drivers
In a bid to ensure road safety, the Geestland police station carried out targeted checks for alcohol and drug-impaired drivers on October 21 and 22, 2024. The operation, which spanned across the entire area of responsibility of the police station, including the city of Geestland, part of the municipality of Wurster North Sea Coast, and the A27, proved to be a significant endeavour.
During the operation, a total of 230 vehicles and 244 people were checked. The results were noteworthy, with several drivers found to be under the influence of either alcohol or drugs.
