The Düsseldorf Craftsmen Bakers' Session, a legendary event, took place on Saturday evening, 8.2. The Rheingold Hall of the Rheinterrassen was filled to capacity with enthusiastic carnival-goers, ready to witness a night of delightful entertainment.

Oli, the host, kicked things off, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. The bakers, prepared with homemade ingredients, showcased their skills, serving a bread praised for its perfect mix of hearty and sweet.

The event was not just about the food, though. It was a celebration of unity, with the guild bakers singing about their camaraderie, and the "Princes' Song" to Sarah Connor's "Vincent" being particularly well-received. The crowd easily joined in due to lyrics on large posters on the floor, creating a memorable moment.

The evening was also filled with musical performances. Alt Schuss, Jeck United, Wimmer Band, and KG Regenbogen took to the stage, each bringing their unique energy to the event. KakaJu's dance group performed a show dance named "Time" and received an encore, thrilling the guests from the start.

The bakers also had a chance to shine, performing self-written songs that humorously reported on their work and competition. Texts criticizing Cologne and supermarket chains were present, adding a touch of humour to the event.

All photos from the event were taken by Karina Hermsen, while Heinrich Kowalski captured the bakery women in action. Further impressions of the evening can be found in the picture gallery, available online.

The event concluded with a special honour, as the princes were honoured with a song. It was a fitting end to a night filled with laughter, music, and camaraderie, as the Düsseldorf Craftsmen Bakers' Session once again proved why tickets sell quickly.
