German equestrian Werth encounters another setback at the Dressage European Championships on the 10th.

In the thrilling Kür event of the European Championships in Crozet, Germany's Isabell Werth secured a third medal for her collection, finishing in third place with her mare Wendy de Fontaine.

Werth, the world's most successful rider, received an impressive score of 88.046 percent, narrowly missing her achievement of a tenth individual gold medal at a European Championships. Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour from Denmark finished second with Freestyle, scoring a commendable 89.821 percent.

The bronze medal was a hard-fought victory for Werth, who had not yet reached her full potential due to a late start to the season and a small injury in the spring. Despite this, she managed to hold off a challenge from an EM debutant Katharine Hemmer, who finished 11th, and a Belgian rider who caused an upset by securing the first dressage gold in Belgian equestrian history. Justin Verboomen won the Kür event with an impressive score of 89.964 percent.

Frederic Wandres with Bluetooth finished fifth in the Kür event, stating that his performance improved day by day. Ingrid Klimke with Vayron did not start in the Kür event, as only three pairs per nation were allowed to compete.

Prior to the Kür event, Werth had already won gold with the German team and individual bronze in the Grand Prix Special. After winning bronze in the Grand Prix Special, Werth stated her intention to "try to win" the Kür event. True to her word, she fought valiantly to secure her third medal at the European Championships.

Despite not winning gold in the Kür, Werth expressed satisfaction with her performance, marking a successful end to another European Championships for the record rider from Rheinberg.

Meanwhile, in Hamm, there were no equestrian updates to report. The fire department in Hamm celebrated a huge party, and new postal voting forms for the election of the Integration Council have been introduced. Unemployment in Hamm remains high, but the city continues to move forward.
