Giedre Valgemaëe Achieves Groundbreaking Win in Queens of Tallinn's Main Tournament

In the heart of Tallinn, Estonia, the 2025 Queens of Tallinn Main Event unfolded, attracting a record-breaking 96 entries and creating a prize pool of €27,677, the largest ever for a women-only poker event in the Baltic region.

The tournament saw a star-studded field, with defending champion Saara Benlamine and Christina Solli, who held the chip lead heading into the final table, among the competitors. However, it was Lithuania's Giedre Valgemaëe who outlasted them all to claim the victory.

Valgemaëe's journey to the top was not without drama. Aytan Eldarova found herself in precarious territory after losing her stack to Valgemaëe. Eldarova's jack-eight couldn't hold against Valgemaëe's king-ten, leaving her fighting for survival.

Estonia's Helina Tamm, who started Day 2 with the chip lead, also fell by the wayside, finishing in sixth place. Meanwhile, Norway's Elisabeth Harestad made her mark, winning the festival's final trophy in the €250 NLH Progressive Bounty event.

The €250 NLH Progressive Bounty event attracted 37 entries for €7,570 in prizes, including €3,700 dedicated to progressive bounties. Harestad's victory capped off a successful run for Norwegian players at the event.

As the final stages of the Main Event approached, a deal was struck between Valgemaëe and three other players: Annika Abmayr, Elin Holmgren, and Aytan Eldarova. After the deal, the game opened up without ICM pressure, allowing for an exciting finish.

In the end, it was Valgemaëe who emerged victorious, securing a payout of €350,000 and a prestigious title. The exact details of the deal were not disclosed, but Eldarova secured the second-largest payout of €4,458.

As the dust settles on the 2025 Queens of Tallinn, poker enthusiasts are already looking forward to the next big event. The No Filter Poker Series, co-founded by Mounir Tajiou and Michel Karim, is set to take place at Olympic Park Casino from October 17-22. The Series promises to be an exciting event, with the buy-in for the Main Event increasing from €250 to €350, yet the field still growing year over year by 11 entries.

Whether you're a seasoned poker player or a newcomer to the game, the Queens of Tallinn and the No Filter Poker Series offer a unique opportunity to compete in a supportive and inclusive environment, with the chance to win significant prizes and make lasting memories.
