Global Charity Event: "88 Keys Around the World" Harmonizing Dusseldorf
In the heart of Düsseldorf, Germany, the Palais Wittgenstein, Bilker Str. 7-9, will echo with music and a powerful message on February 22nd. The "Refugees Welcome in Düsseldorf" association is hosting a concert titled "Around the World with 88 Keys", with a focus on global crisis zones and the fight for democracy and human rights.
Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller has agreed to be the patron of the concert, which aims to shed light on countries where people are fighting for their freedom and rights. The musical direction of the concert remains under Jeremias Mameghani, a Düsseldorf lawyer and pianist, who will lead an international lineup of talented artists.
The concert starts at 7 PM and features a diverse ensemble of musicians. Pianists Ievgeniia Iermachkova and Veronika Ittermann, vocal duo Dinah Berowska and Martin Lucaß, violinist Corinna Hentschel-Stavi, and pianists Ani Ter-Martirosyan, Rem Tabakhnikov & Anna Pashkovska, will take the stage, along with singer Maia Chkhaidze and cellist Michiaki Ueno.
Michiaki Ueno, the recipient of the Beethoven Ring 2024, promises an unforgettable performance. Robert Hotstegs will moderate the concert, ensuring a smooth flow of music and messages.
Admission to the concert remains free, but tickets must be reserved by emailing [email protected]. The "Refugees Welcome in Düsseldorf" association appreciates donations to support their refugee work. Human rights, including the right to asylum and fair procedures, are a non-negotiable focus for the association.
The concert, held under the shadow of the war in Ukraine, aims to raise awareness and funds for those affected by global crises. It serves as a testament to the power of music to bring people together and inspire action towards a more just and peaceful world.
