In a significant move, global law firm XYZ has announced the promotion of 47 lawyers to partner and director positions, effective January 1, 2021. The promotions span 11 practice groups, reflecting the firm's commitment to diversifying its legal services.
Angela Croker is promoted to banking and finance in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Ugendran Odayar is appointed as a director in the corporate, M&A and securities department in Durban, South Africa. In Australia, Alexandra Shields is promoted to employment and labor in Sydney, while Liza Volpiana is appointed to real estate in Vancouver, Canada. Sa'ood Lahri and Bryce Perrett are both promoted to litigation and disputes in Johannesburg and Durban, South Africa respectively, with Perrett appointed as a director.
In the United States, Utsav Mathur is promoted to litigation and disputes/energy and infrastructure in Houston, Texas.
