2025 Tour Championship: A Diverse Field of Drivers
The 2025 Tour Championship, the season-ending event on the PGA Tour, is once again gracing the historic East Lake Golf Club. This prestigious tournament, which has been hosted at the club since 1998, is attracting some of the best players in the game, each armed with their preferred drivers.
One of the most intriguing stories this year is the success of Scottie Scheffler, who clinched the victory in the previous edition. His instrumental tool in achieving this triumph was the TaylorMade Qi10 Dot driver, a club he continues to trust in his arsenal. Notably, Scheffler led the field in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee and ranked first in driving distance and second for driving accuracy during the tournament.
However, the most common driver model at the 2025 Tour Championship has not been specified yet. What is known is that four players are using Callaway drivers, including Justin Rose and Sepp Straka who are wielding the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond driver. Additionally, nine players are using the Ping G430 LST driver, and nine are using the Ping G440 LST driver.
The TaylorMade Qi10 Dot driver is still in play, with six players, including Scheffler and Maverick McNealy, opting for it. Other popular choices include the Titleist GT2, with ten players using it, and the Srixon ZXi, favoured by two players. The Titleist TSi2 driver is also in the mix, being used by Brian Harman and Sungjae Im.
The field is a diverse tapestry of thirteen different driver models, in addition to the Ping G430 LST, Ping G440 LST, Titleist GT2, TaylorMade Qi10 Dot, Srixon ZXi, and Callaway drivers mentioned earlier.
The Tour Championship invites the top 30 players from the season's FedEx Cup standings, ensuring a competitive and exciting event. With a substantial prize purse on offer, the players are ready to battle it out on the greens of East Lake Golf Club, each with their trusted driver in hand, aiming to make history.
