In the picturesque town of Pforzheim, a unique summer festival is making a significant impact. Hosted on the DLRG grounds at Huchenfelder Straße 44 in Dillweißenstein, this event brings together the community for a day of fun and fundraising.

This year's festival, organised by the Lumba-Diera Witches - a Fasching club that has been a staple in Pforzheim and the region since 2011 - will take place on July 14, 2018. The proceeds from the tombola at this festival will be donated to the Heilpädagogisches Kinder- und Jugendhilfezentrum "Sperlingshof" in Remchingen, a centre dedicated to helping children and young people with various forms of autism.

Last year, the donor was the Kulturverein Walfisch, who collected a generous sum for the Pforzheim Autism Therapy and Counseling Centre. The donated item was an illuminated therapy water column, a unique addition to the centre's therapy rooms.

The therapy rooms in Pforzheim, run by the self-help association "Arbeit-Wohnen-Leben e.V." (AWL) from Karlsruhe, are designed to cater to the needs of people with restrictions and disorders in the contact and social area. They offer a range of items for individual or group therapies, including therapy pillows, a hammock, a large gym ball, or a ball pool.

The therapy water column, in particular, offers visual, tactile, and auditory stimulation for children and young people. Its strong attraction can help them find inner peace, making it an invaluable tool in the centre's therapeutic arsenal. The column can also accommodate anti-aggression clubs and trampolines, providing a safe outlet for young people to release built-up anger and aggression.

The Pforzheim Autism Therapy and Counseling Centre aims to improve the quality of life for children and young people with autism. It provides therapy rooms for those aged 3 to 21, offering a nurturing and supportive environment for their unique needs.

In addition to the Pforzheim centre, the AWL also operates a centre in Brötzingen. The Pforzheim centre's mission is to create a more inclusive and understanding society for those with autism, and events like the summer festival play a crucial role in supporting this cause.

Though the phone and contact information, as well as the date of the event, may no longer be current, the impact of this summer festival continues to resonate. It serves as a reminder of the power of community support and the difference that can be made when we come together for a good cause.
