"Gruber's Returning Performance"
On Saturday, September 27th, at 7 PM, the Municipal Music School will host the latest edition of the "ComeBack" concert series. This year, the spotlight will be on former student Patrisia Gruber, a promising flutist who has made a name for herself in the music world.
Born in Landshut in 1996, Patrisia Gruber's musical journey began at the Municipal Music School Landshut, where she studied flute, piano, chamber music, and music theory until her graduation in 2015. During her time there, she was under the tutelage of Christian Mattick, Carina Gehring, and Tanja Wagner, who provided her with important musical impulses.
After her graduation, Patrisia Gruber continued her artistic education at the Music Academy Karlsruhe, where she pursued her bachelor's and master's degrees. It was during this time that she also served as a trainee at the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra.
For the upcoming "ComeBack" concert, Patrisia Gruber will be performing in a duo with pianist Jhih-Ting Wong. The program for the concert includes music from the late romantic period, such as the Serenade by Korngold and the "Undine" sonata by Carl Reinecke. Two French composers, Pierre Sancan and André Jolivet, will also be represented with a sonatina and "Chant de Linos".
Jhih-Ting Wong, who will accompany Patrisia on the piano, first studied at the National University of Taipei before continuing his musical training in Karlsruhe. Since 2021, he has been working as a coach at the Academy in Karlsruhe, under the guidance of professors Kalle Randalu and Hartmut Höll.
The "Concert & Course" concept will be used for the event, allowing attendees to witness the musical growth of former students in a concert, followed by getting to know them as educators in a public course.
Since 2025, Patrisia Gruber has been the head of the department at the School of Music and Performing Arts in Gaggenau. The event is organized by pianist Tanja Wagner, who was also one of Patrisia's teachers at the Municipal Music School Landshut. Admission to the concert is free, but donations for the artists are welcome.
The "ComeBack" concerts have been taking place at the Municipal Music School for eleven years, providing a platform for talented musicians to showcase their skills and share their love for music with the community. This year's edition promises to be an unforgettable evening of music, as Patrisia Gruber and Jhih-Ting Wong take the stage for a duo performance that is not to be missed.
