GTIA's Global Leadership Committee Emphasizes Regional Diversity in IT Channel Promotion

The Global Leadership Committee (GLC) of the non-profit organization Global Technology and Innovation Alliance (GTIA) has been established to foster global cooperation between six of its regions. The GLC, founded in July 2025 on the sidelines of the central GTIA event ChannelCon in Nashville, Tennessee, aims to ensure exchange among members and provide real added value, including bonus programs and additional IT resources.

The DACH region, which includes Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, is represented by René Claus and Otto Schobert in the GLC. René Claus, a prominent figure in the DACH region, emphasized the need for regional differences to be taken into account for effective promotion of the IT channel. His statements, made at the GLC meeting held on the sidelines of ChannelCon in Nashville, Tennessee, underscored the importance of regional diversity.

René Claus believes that considering regional peculiarities is crucial for targeted and effective action. He attended the GLC meeting alongside Otto Schobert and Katrin Giza, the PR manager for the Benelux and DACH regions, who also attended ChannelCon.

The GLC meetings provide valuable insights into the need for tailored regional promotion strategies. The 3rd GTIA DACH Community Meeting was held in March 2024, followed by the 4th in October 2024, and the 5th in May 2025. The 2nd GTIA DACH Community Meeting took place in November 2023.

Katrin Giza, also a member of the GLC, attended ChannelCon and further emphasized the importance of regional diversity. She, along with other representatives from the other five regions in the GLC, work towards strengthening mutual trust and creating a common basis for innovative ideas.

MJ Shoer, the Chief Community Officer at GTIA, leads the GLC. Otto Schobert, a fellow DACH region representative, is positive about the GLC, stating that it strengthens mutual trust and creates a common basis for innovative ideas.

GTIA is a community dedicated to promoting the IT channel. With the establishment of the GLC, it aims to create a more unified and effective approach to promoting the IT channel on a global scale, while still acknowledging and addressing the unique needs of each region.
