Late-Night Robbery in Kreuzberg: Police Investigate Empty-Handed Heist on Oranienstraße
In a surprising turn of events, a late-night robbery occurred on Oranienstraße in Kreuzberg last night, leaving the shop owner with injuries but the robbers empty-handed. The robbery division of Police Directorate 5 (City) has taken over the investigation.
According to reports, two unknown individuals, armed with two guns, entered the shop around midnight. The shop owner was struck on the head with one of the guns, and his accomplice kicked him to the ground. Despite their efforts to tamper with the cash register, the robbers did not manage to make off with any money.
A quick-thinking customer alerted the police, causing the robbers to flee the scene. The injured shop owner is currently receiving medical treatment for a head wound and a scrape on his shin, but his condition is reported to be stable.
The police are analysing security camera footage from the area to gather evidence and have released descriptions of the two robbers, including their height, weight, and clothing. They are also seeking information from the public regarding any potential leads in the case.
In response to this incident, the police have increased patrols in the Kreuzberg district to prevent similar incidents. The perpetrators of the robbery have not been publicly identified yet.
