In the early hours of this morning, a fire broke out in a 1,000 m² production hall located on Gahlenfeldstraße, Herdecke. The incident occurred at 2:17 AM and was reported to the local fire department.
The fire was caused by a laser machine for plastics, and the company operating the plastic processing in the affected building is Jung Plastic GmbH. Employees attempted to control the fire using several fire extinguishers before the fire department arrived.
