However, his statement does not mention the protests in Jerusalem, the hostages in Jerusalem, or the city of Gaza or Israel's army.
In contrast, the situation in Jerusalem does not appear to be a focus in Söder's statement. The CSU leader does not discuss the hostage situation in Gaza, nor does he mention the demands of the protestors in Jerusalem. This disconnect between the two events highlights the distinct nature of the issues facing each location.
