Hannover's Nordstadt district witnesses a blaze as garden leaves are set ablaze

In the quiet night of Hannover's Nordstadt, a shed fire broke out in the "Rosendorf" garden colony, as reported by Feuerwehr Hannover via news aktuell. The fire department received the call around 11:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Upon arrival, the fire department and rescue service found one shed already fully ablaze, and the flames had spread to another. A total of 40 personnel were involved in the operation. Two additional extinguishing teams from fire station 1 and another large tanker were called in to put out the fire.

The initial extinguishing operations were successful, with "Fire out" reported at midnight. However, at 2:20 a.m., the remains of the first affected shed were on fire again. The fire was finally brought under control at 3:50 a.m., and the end of the second deployment was around 4:30 a.m. Further follow-up checks at 5:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. were uneventful.

During the operations, a firefighter injured their foot and was taken to a Hannover hospital. Several gas cylinders were also recovered and cooled. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and the police have initiated investigations.
