In the quiet town of Hamm-Herringen, an unusual incident unfolded on Friday, August 29. Two 14-year-old juveniles made headlines after they allegedly stole a riding lawn mower from a local cemetery.

The theft took place around 11 a.m. at the street "An der Falkschule". The initial assumption was that the stolen vehicle was a tractor, leading the police to deploy a helicopter for the search. However, it was later discovered that the stolen vehicle was in fact a riding lawn mower.

After the collision with a guardrail, the juveniles fled the scene on foot unnoticed. Fortunately, the guardrail remained undamaged, and the riding lawn mower sustained only minor damage.

The police were able to locate the juveniles and establish their identities. The names of the two teenagers have not been disclosed to the public. A criminal proceeding for the theft of a motor vehicle has been initiated against both individuals.
