Highlighted photography moments of the recent period
In Russia, a day full of diverse events and exhibitions was underway.
At the heart of the action, the Fifth Moscow Fashion Week was in full swing, showcasing the latest collection from Alexander Arutyunov. Meanwhile, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Anton Siluanov was participating in the plenary session "Fashion 360°. Development of accompanying industries" as part of the BRICS+ Fashion Summit.
Elsewhere, the world of football was abuzz with the Russian Cup match between Lokomotiv Moscow and Akron (Tolyatti). Christian Ramirez of Lokomotiv was giving a strong performance, while Olaoluwa Olusegun of Pari NN was up against Spartak Moscow in the same tournament.
Education was also high on the agenda, with Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov and his deputy Andrei Nikolaev holding a meeting on the implementation of a school repair and construction program. The details of the meeting, however, have not been explicitly disclosed.
The political sphere was equally active, with Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Mikhail Delyagin holding a press conference on the topic of illegal migration.
In a more cultural setting, Nikolai Rybakov, Chairman of the "Yabloko" party, attended an exhibition of photographer Yuri Feklistov. The exhibition was held at the "Yeltsin Center" branch in Moscow.
President Vladimir Putin was also seen paying his respects, laying flowers at the monument to Yuri Khariton in Sarov.
Visitors were flocking to various other attractions as well. Vacationers were enjoying the salt lake Baskunchak, while another group was attending the exhibition of industrial equipment and innovations from China, China Machinery Fair and China Commodity Fair.
Intriguingly, a visitor was spotted in the building of the Central Executive Committee of the "United Russia" party, but their identity remains undisclosed.
Lastly, it's worth noting that employees of the Yenisei River Shipping Company were preparing and sending a raft with timber, adding to the variety of activities taking place in Russia on this day.
