Home Climate Conservation Initiative - Lüneburg District and Hanseatic City kickstart an awareness campaign aimed at private residents
The district of Lüneburg and the Hanseatic City of Lüneburg have announced an exciting new campaign aimed at promoting renewable energies and energy efficiency in multi-family housing. Known as the 'Climate Protection at Home' campaign, this initiative is set to take place throughout the year, with a series of events focusing on photovoltaics for multi-family houses.
The campaign kick-off event is scheduled for May 8, 2025, at 7 p.m., in the meeting room of the municipality of Adendorf (Rathausplatz 14). Energy advisor Udo Irmer will provide valuable insights into thermal insulation, suitable insulation materials, and the intricate workings of heating, ventilation, and insulation. The regulations of the Building Energy Act will also be explained during this event. Participants are encouraged to ask open questions about thermal insulation and other topics.
The consulting offensive will consist of five events, providing comprehensive knowledge on operating concepts and electricity supply from solar energy for multi-family house owners. While the initial event will take place in Adendorf, the subsequent events will be held in various locations, including the Hanseatic City and other municipalities in the district.
The events will range from information stands at neighbourhood festivals to information evenings and online lectures, to consulting campaigns for individual or multiple citizens. The campaign aims to reach communal living projects and housing associations, with the goal of fostering a more sustainable future for all.

This campaign is a joint initiative by the district and Hanseatic City of Lüneburg, in collaboration with the Solar Energy Promotion Association Germany e.V. The events will not be explained under the regulations of the Building Energy Act, as they are specifically about photovoltaics.
