Hostile individual encountered inside building, death reported
A tragic incident occurred in the heart of Cebu City on Friday, September 5, 2025, when a 19-year-old individual fell from the rooftop of a condominium in Barangay Kasambagan.
The deceased was not publicly identified, but police reports suggest that they were a student from Purok Kanlalay, Barangay Kabangbang, City of Bantayan, City of Cebu. The body was discovered on the rooftop of North Tower A, located on the 37th floor of the condominium.
Upon arrival of responding police and medical teams, there were no signs of life for the individual. The condo security guard reported hearing a loud thud and seeing the deceased lying on the ground, showing no signs of life. The personal belongings of the victim were seized by the Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco).
Investigations are still ongoing, with the examination of CCTV footage and contacting the family of the deceased continuing. Police Major Eric Gingoyon, from the Ma-bolo Police Station, confirmed the discovery of the dead body at 5:15 AM, but it was not found until 6:45 AM. No foul play was suspected in the death of the individual.
The body was transported to Rolling Hills Memorial Chapels in Mandaue. The Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc.
