House exploration in progress!

Remarkable excursion ahead! It's time for a house tour. Back in 2015, Aaron and I took the plunge and purchased a 1930's ranch bungalow. It was a sight to behold with wallpaper, textured ceilings, and carpets, even in certain unexpected areas.

House exploration in progress!

In the heart of a bustling neighbourhood, a 1930s ranch bungalow stands out, not for its modern amenities, but for its timeless charm and personal touch. Aaron and its author resident, who purchased the property in 2015, have transformed the house into a haven that echoes their shared love for good conversation, music, and books.

Upon entering, one is greeted by the warm embrace of the sitting room, devoid of a television. Instead, the walls are adorned with their favourite books, including "Rumours by Fleetwood Mac", "The Search for Everything by John Mayer", "Stardust by Willie Nelson", and "Music, Martinis, and Memories by Jackie Gleason". The room is further enriched by a collection of records, the favourite tunes of which include the same titles as the books.

The kitchen, a hub of activity, is equipped with floating shelves, cabinetry, and countertops, housing a variety of essentials such as ceramic mugs, a Chemex, salt cellar, white bud vase, tea pot, white dishes, stemmed water glasses, pottery, and a print. A wooden planter and a pottery piece add a touch of earthy elegance.

The dining room, currently under consideration for a transformation into an intimate library, currently houses a bench, a rug, and a selection of decorative pieces. The room is adorned with a cactus print and an aloe print, a rug by Ikea, a leather chair by CB2, a sheepskin throw by Ikea, and an old red stripe chair.

The family room, a cosy space, is furnished with a rug, centre table, lamp, woven plant basket, chest, pillow, silk plant, and wood planter. The room also boasts straw floor seats and a sheepskin throw, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

Throughout the house, the Lenda curtains from Ikea drape the windows, adding a touch of softness and sophistication. The paint colour throughout the house is Pure White by Sherwin Williams, lending a clean and fresh feel to the spaces.

The house, a labour of love, took about four months to renovate, with Aaron and its author resident doing most of the work themselves. The search results do not provide specific information about the construction year of the house bought by Aaron and its author in 2015.

In the future, the ultimate dream for the library is to include a fireplace, adding a touch of warmth and cosiness to the space. The proposed colour for the newly designed library is a dark charcoal, promising to create a dramatic and inviting atmosphere.

This charming 1930s ranch bungalow, a testament to Aaron and its author's shared passions, stands as a unique example of a home that is not just a place to live, but a reflection of its inhabitants' personalities and interests.
