House fire in Hammerweide leaves two individuals injured during late-night fire response efforts
A fire broke out in a residential building on Hammerweide, Arnsberg, at 04:14 on an unspecified day. The incident, which involved rubbish and a stereo system in one of the apartments, was swiftly addressed by a large number of emergency services.

Numerous emergency services were dispatched, including the main fire stations in Neheim and Arnsberg, the duty service, fire brigades from Arnsberg and Bruchhausen/Niedereimer, rescue services from Arnsberg and Hagelstein, the police, a member of the psychological emergency care team, and the breathing apparatus vehicle. Around 70 emergency services personnel were on site.
An immediate interior attack was launched to rescue people, and thanks to the quick and coordinated efforts of all involved, worse was prevented. The fire in the burning apartment was completely extinguished at 04:53, and final checks of the extinguishing work were carried out before the scene was handed over to the police.
Five people were affected by the fire, and sadly, two individuals were injured by smoke inhalation and were taken to the hospital for treatment. The search results do not provide the name of the leader of the fire department in Arnsberg who was involved in the incident.
The fire department used a high-performance fan to ventilate the building, and the fire in the affected apartment was meticulously checked for hotspots with a thermal imaging camera. The residents of the unaffected apartments were able to return to the building after the operation ended.
