Housing expert Daniel Fuhrhop discusses hidden housing aspects
In an exciting development, the Marburg City Talk will delve into the concept of invisible housing on September 3rd. The event, which will take place at the Historic Hall of Marburg Town Hall, is organized by the City of Marburg University and is open to the public.
Dr. Daniel Fuhrhop, an economist, author, and consultant, will be the speaker for the evening. He will discuss the concept of invisible housing, its mobilization, and its impact on quality of life. Invisible housing is a concept proposed by Dr. Fuhrhop, aimed at creating numerous new apartments by densifying existing buildings and utilising unused spaces such as attics or basements. Practical examples include the conversion of office or commercial spaces into living quarters, as well as additions and extensions, to enable a diverse mix of housing forms.
The Mayor of Marburg, Dr. Thomas Spies, will open the Marburg City Talk. The event will be moderated by Councilman Dr. Michael Kopatz. The talk will commence at 7 PM.
