Hyundai's 2024 i30 Sedan N uncovers facelift changes in spy shots

The upcoming 2024 Hyundai i30 Sedan is set to make its debut in late 2023, with several notable changes and improvements on the horizon.

According to recent reports, the facelifted i30 Sedan is expected to feature a larger infotainment system running Hyundai's latest ccOS software. Additionally, over-the-air software updates may be available, enhancing the vehicle's connectivity and convenience.

One of the most significant changes could be the addition of adaptive cruise control. While it is currently unavailable on the N variant due to a camera-only system, spy photos of the updated Hyundai i30 Sedan N have emerged, suggesting that a radar system will be implemented, potentially making adaptive cruise control available on the performance flagship.

However, the unique front end of the Hyundai i30 Sedan N will be toned down, favouring a look more similar to regular variants. The changes are concentrated on the front, with a slimmer grille, redesigned headlights, and potentially an illuminated strip across the width of the car. The rear of the vehicle, on the other hand, is expected to remain largely unchanged.

The i30 Sedan, rebadged specifically for Australia to capitalize on the success of the i30 nameplate, is expected to undergo a facelift. It is worth noting that the i30 Sedan shares more in common with the previous-generation Elantra.

The updated 2024 Hyundai i30 Sedan is expected to launch locally next year, with the new edition being unveiled in South Korea before it becomes available in 2024. The origami-like side profile of the i30 Sedan could be toned down for the updated model, adding significant engineering costs.

It is also worth mentioning that a significant revision to the i30 N hatch is unlikely as it will reach the end of production in the coming years without a direct successor. USB-C charge ports may be added to the updated Hyundai i30 Sedan, further improving its user-friendly features.

Stay tuned for more updates as Wheels continues to provide new information on the anticipated debut of the 2024 Hyundai i30 Sedan.
