Egina Wins T. von Zastrow-Stuten-Preis at Grand Week in Iffezheim

In an unexpected turn of events, Egina, a 107:10 outsider, claimed victory in the T. von Zastrow-Stuten-Preis during the Grand Week at the Iffezheim horse racing track. The race, which had a total of eight participants, saw a crowd of 11,900 spectators.

The favourite, Santagada, trained by Peter Schiergen, had a disappointing race, finishing in fourth place. Santagada, who started the race as the favourite, experienced some bad luck during the race, which ultimately led to Egina's triumph.

Egina's jockey, Leon Wolff, steered her to a strong finish, securing her fourth win in her twelfth start. Helmut von Finck, the owner of Gestüt Park Wiedingen where Egina is trained, was also the breeder and owner of the winning filly. Peter Schiergen, her trainer, commented on Egina's performance, stating she had a top race and did an excellent job.

North Realiance, ridden by Sean Byrne, finished in third place, while Nyra, under the guidance of Thore Hammer-Hansen, claimed second place. Another horse trained by Peter Schiergen, Santagada, also participated in the race.

The T. von Zastrow-Stuten-Preis is one of the events during the Grand Week at the Iffezheim horse racing track. This year, three of Egina's wins occurred, making her a force to be reckoned with in the equestrian world.
