Emilio Aleman, a 40-year industry veteran with extensive experience in optics, electronic imaging, signal processing, and transmission, has joined Ikegami Electronics (USA) as Senior Product Manager. Aleman graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1984 and will be based at Ikegami's headquarters.

Aleman's role at Ikegami involves promoting the company's imaging and display equipment to customers in various sectors, including broadcast, security, medical, and industrial imaging. He will collaborate with design and service across Ikegami's entire range of products.

The broadcast industry is witnessing a significant shift, with IP connectivity and the adoption of 4K, HDR, and HFR becoming increasingly prevalent. Aleman stated that the gradual rollout of ATSC 3.0 and MoIP across the Americas is encouraging media content creators and broadcasters to advance from HD SDR to 4K-UHD HDR.

According to Aleman, broadcasters are capitalizing on the benefits of modern IT-centric signal transports to maximize the long-term commercial value of their productions by mastering in 4K-UHD and transmitting their programs in whatever standard is required for each specific audience region.

Among the solutions Aleman will be handling at Ikegami are the recently introduced IPX-100 IP Extension Unit. The IPX-100 IP Extension Unit replaces the traditional base station or CCU with a dedicated ST 2110 product, offering a more efficient and flexible solution for broadcasters.

Alan Keil, Ikegami's vice president and director of engineering, has expressed a welcome for Aleman's addition to the Ikegami team. Keil stated, "We are delighted to have Emilio on board. His extensive industry experience and expertise in cutting-edge technology will be a valuable asset to our team as we continue to innovate and meet the evolving needs of our customers."

Aleman will be active alongside Keil, Teri Zastro and colleagues in technical and sales support. Prior to joining Ikegami Electronics (USA), Aleman worked with Ross Video. The previous Senior Product Manager who left Ikegami Electronics was not specified, but Emilio Aleman will replace the position in October 2025.

Aleman expressed that Ikegami has a long history of excellence in both established product range and technology innovation. He is excited to contribute to the company's continued success and growth in the ever-evolving world of broadcast technology.
