Two Drivers Caught Driving Without a Valid License in Thuringia

In separate incidents on January 14, 2025, two drivers were caught operating vehicles without a valid license in the Thuringian towns of Gera and Münchenbernsdorf.

The first incident took place in the morning, around 7:20 AM, in Steinbeckstraße, Gera. A 35-year-old individual was found driving a VW without a valid license.

The second incident occurred in the afternoon, approximately 1:00 PM, in Waldstraße, Münchenbernsdorf. A 47-year-old driver was caught driving a Skoda without a valid license.

The Gera Police Inspectorate conducted checks on drivers without valid licenses on that day and transmitted this information. The source of the information is news aktuell.

Both drivers are now under investigation for driving without a license.

The Thuringian Police Gera Police Inspectorate Press Office is the contact for further inquiries. Their email address is [email protected]. Alternatively, you can reach them by phone at 0365 829 1503 or 0365 829 1504.

It is worth noting that the head of the Gera Police Inspectorate, Thomas Lenk, resigned from the police after 30 years to become First Deputy Mayor of Gera in spring 2025. The position was publicly advertised in April 2025, so the new permanent head may have changed after that date.

The incidents in Gera and Münchenbernsdorf serve as a reminder of the importance of obeying traffic laws and holding a valid driver's license.
