The French e-mobility company, Cixi, has unveiled its latest innovation - the Vigoz, a three-wheeled vehicle that promises to redefine pedal-powered mobility. The Vigoz is designed for urban commutes and beyond, offering a unique blend of sustainability and automotive convenience.

Powered by Cixi's chainless pedaling technology, the Vigoz harnesses the rider's energy to propel the vehicle forward. The Pedaling Energy Recovery System (PERS) converts the rider's pedaling into electric propulsion, extending the range and reducing the need for manual effort. To further stretch the range, the Vigoz is equipped with regenerative braking, which extends the brake pad lifespan and recovers energy during braking.

The Vigoz represents a bold attempt to reimagine pedal-powered mobility as something closer to a car than a bicycle. Its recumbent cockpit design positions the rider in a reclined, enclosed capsule, providing a more comfortable and stable ride. The vehicle also boasts an active tilting mechanism, allowing it to lean naturally into corners, improving stability and handling.

The Vigoz offers flexibility for passengers and cargo. While both occupants remain within the covered cabin, luggage is stored in an open rear section. The design allows for space to accommodate a passenger, a pet, or larger items, making the Vigoz a versatile choice for various needs.

Safety is a top priority for the Vigoz. It is equipped with safety features similar to automobiles, including three-point seatbelts and energy-absorbing structures. The Vigoz also has a top speed of 120 km/h, making it suitable for multiple urban commutes or intercity trips.

The Vigoz prototype has already reached 100 km/h in trials, with the final production system expected to reach the same speed. The development of the Vigoz is currently in the certification stage, a key step toward regulatory approval. Once timelines are finalized, reservations for the Vigoz will open.

The Vigoz offers a unique combination of pedal-powered sustainability and automotive convenience. With a planned range of 160 km, this three-wheeled vehicle is poised to change the way we think about urban mobility. Stay tuned for more updates on the Vigoz as it moves closer to production.
