Imminent Student ID Distribution Initiated
HTW Dresden is set to streamline student life with the introduction of the CampusCard, a modern student ID that combines traditional functions with cutting-edge technology. This innovative card will replace the Emeal card and serve as a one-stop solution for various campus needs.
Starting this winter semester, all re-registered students will receive their CampusCard via post. The card will not require semester-wise updates; it will remain valid as long as the registration is active.
The CampusCard will serve multiple purposes. It will function as a visual ID, library card, and access card for doors and barriers. Furthermore, it will allow for convenient payment in the canteens and cafeterias of the Student Services. The card will also incorporate the payment function of the Student Services Dresden.
In addition to its primary functions, the CampusCard can be used for museum visits, cinema entries, and other purposes, though acceptance outside the university is not guaranteed. The digital student ID, which is still available through the HTWD mobile app, shares these capabilities. The digital student ID, displayed on the app, also shows the current registration status.
Students are encouraged to re-register for the winter semester and update their address in the QIS portal: www.qis.htw-dresden.de. The re-registration period for the winter semester 2025/26 is from 30.06.2025 to 25.07.2025.
