Improved Mobile Communications in Dresden's Capital, Achieved by Telekom

Deutsche Telekom continues its mobile network expansion efforts in the city of Dresden, as confirmed by Georg von Wagner, spokesperson for the company. This initiative has led to nearly 100% mobile internet coverage for the population in the city.

The improvements have been noticeable along the A4 motorway and the Leipzig-Dresden and Sachsen-Ost railway lines. Telekom currently operates 187 mobile network sites in the city, with 18 of these sites receiving enhancements to improve coverage.

In addition to the expanded coverage, Telekom's mobile sites in the region support the Advanced Mobile Location (AML) emergency technology. When calling 112, the caller's location is automatically sent to the emergency control center, ensuring quick and accurate response in emergency situations.

Telekom's mobile network has been recognised as the best in Germany by specialist magazines Chip, connect, ComputerBild, and Imtest. The network also incorporates the Cell Broadcast warning system, which sends danger alerts to mobile phones in the affected cell during emergencies such as major fires, gas explosions, or floods.

Interested individuals can find more information about mobile coverage in their district on the De Telekom website at www.telekom.de/network-expansion. For further updates on the company's network expansion efforts, visit their official website.
