In an exciting development for fans of both building blocks and the iconic Pokémon franchise, rumours suggest that LEGO is planning a partnership with Pokémon for new sets. If these rumours prove to be true, the sets could become real collector's items.

The combination of the Pokémon brand and the creative possibilities of LEGO is promising. LEGO has previously collaborated with brands such as Star Wars for sets and games, and the LEGO Star Wars sets are among the most popular on the market. The prospect of LEGO Pokémon sets is raising high expectations among fans of building blocks.

The first three LEGO Pokémon sets, model numbers 72151, 72152, and 72153, are expected to be released on March 1, 2026. Details about the models of the upcoming sets remain speculative, but rumours suggest that the sets will include a small set with 587 pieces, a medium set with 2,050 pieces, and a large XXL set with 6,838 pieces. These sets are aimed at adults.

Set 72151, the smallest of the three, consists of 587 parts and is priced at $59.99. Set 72152 consists of 2,050 parts and is priced at $199.99. Set 72153, an XXL set, consists of 6,838 parts and is priced at $649.99. If released, these sets would be among the most expensive in LEGO history.

Exclusive bonus sets will be available for LEGO insiders, including a free Pokémon set with certain purchases. The information about the upcoming LEGO Pokémon sets is currently unconfirmed, but if the prices are as expected, the sets would be among the most expensive in LEGO history.

Another leak suggests there might be a LEGO set that is even more expensive than the initially leaked one. If released, set 72153 would be among the largest LEGO sets ever, surpassed only by iconic models like the Eiffel Tower or the Titanic.

The LEGO Pokémon sets may be connected with Nintendo, given the success of LEGO's video game adaptations. The "LEGO Star Wars" video games have been very successful, and it is possible that similar games based on the Pokémon franchise could be in development.

If the rumours prove to be true, the upcoming LEGO Pokémon sets could be a hit with fans of both building blocks and the Pokémon franchise. Fans will have to wait until March 1, 2026, to find out for sure.
