In the highly anticipated second season of The Couple Next Door, Aggy K Adams joins Annabel Scholey and Sam Palladio as a new cast member, portraying the character Mia. Mia moves into the same street as Charlotte and Jacob, played by Scholey and Palladio respectively, adding an intriguing twist to the narrative.
The story unfolds in a swanky cul-de-sac in Yorkshire, where Charlotte, a successful heart surgeon, and her husband Jacob, an anesthetist, find themselves in a new suburban environment, different from that of season 1.
As the season progresses, patients at the hospital start dying unexpectedly, adding a layer of mystery to the plot. Hugh Dennis reprises his role as Alan, the voyeuristic neighbour, providing a familiar face amidst the unfolding drama.
Leo, played by Sendhil Ramamurthy, returns to Charlotte's life, causing turmoil and mounting tensions. The couple, drawn to Mia, find themselves entangled in a web of secrets and emotions.
The filming of The Couple Next Door season 2 was not without its challenges, with some scenes requiring meticulous planning and execution. The series was filmed in Belgium and the Netherlands, standing in for Yorkshire.
