In Regensburg, a burglar was apprehended in a bathroom and his escape attempt from the second floor resulted in his arrest
Early Morning Burglary on Greflinger Street in Regensburg
A burglary occurred at a residential property on Greflinger Street in Regensburg early on the morning of August 14. The incident took place at approximately 5:30 AM.
According to reports, the burglar initially made his way into a 41-year-old woman's apartment by climbing over several balconies. The resident of the apartment quickly noticed the intrusion and called the police.
The burglar, who was later identified as a 20-year-old individual, was caught inside the apartment by the 45-year-old cohabitant of the apartment. In the ensuing commotion, the burglar jumped from the second floor of the building into the inner courtyard, injuring himself in the process.
After being detained by the resident, the burglar attempted to steal a bicycle from the premises. However, he was subsequently arrested by the Regensburg police. The suspect was then taken to the hospital due to his injuries.
The Regensburg Criminal Police Inspectorate has taken over the investigation into the early morning break-in on Greflinger Street. The burglar, now in police custody, is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
The police have not yet released any further details about the incident or the suspect. The community of Regensburg is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
