The scammers, posing as employees of "Gosuslugi", initiated the fraud by making a call claiming there was an issue with a package and the need for a code. The young man was then accused of being a suspect in terrorism, a false allegation designed to manipulate and coerce him.
The scammers' scheme escalated as they convinced the young man to take out loans totaling 780,000 rubles. These loans were transferred to an account specified by the scammers, and unfortunately, the money was then transferred abroad.
This scam is not an isolated incident in the Krasnodar Territory. The "Gosuslugi employees" involved in the phone fraud in the Novopokrovsky District were individuals falsely presenting themselves as government service workers to deceive victims and commit fraud.
