In Ukraine, a significant number of casualties and injuries have been reported, with at least three deaths, following a massive offensive orchestrated by Russian forces.

In a series of recent events, the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia has intensified. The Ukrainian military has accused the Krasnodar oil refinery of supplying the armed forces of the Russian Federation, a claim that Russian authorities have yet to confirm or address.

The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has been vocal about the need for real action to stop Moscow's deadly campaign. In a statement, he emphasised that the war in Ukraine will not cease from political statements alone, and that real steps are necessary. He also suggested harsh tariffs against those who fund the Russian army and effective sanctions against Moscow, including banking and energy sanctions.

The Krasnodar oil refinery, which produces light oil products with a volume of 3 million tons per year, including gasoline, diesel fuel, and jet fuel, has been a target of these attacks. The Ukrainian military reported strikes on the refinery in the Krasnodar Region, although Russian authorities have not issued a statement on the matter.

Meanwhile, in Kyiv, the European Union's diplomatic mission and the nearby British Council were targeted in an attack. The latest Russian attack on Ukraine occurred just two days after a large-scale aerial attack on multiple Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, which killed 25 people. This attack resulted in eight people, including injured children, being hospitalised.

Russia's defence ministry claimed to have destroyed 86 UAVs in a previous report, and in the latest attack, they claimed to have destroyed 20 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) between 7:00 and 11:00 local time. However, the Ukrainian forces have also been active, conducting attacks on Russian oil refineries in the Krasnodar Region and the Samara Region. No confirmation or statement has been given by Russian authorities regarding the attack on the Samara oil refinery.

In response to the escalating conflict, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas made a statement about broad support to send European military instructors to Ukraine after a ceasefire. Zelensky, in a statement, expressed that the time allotted for the leaders' meeting in Moscow was used to prepare new massive strikes.

The conflict has also had a significant impact on civilians. In Zaporizhzhya, strikes caused power outages, damage to 14 apartment buildings, over 40 private houses, and an unspecified number of industrial facilities. The attack killed three people and injured at least 45 others, including three children.

As the conflict continues, both sides remain resolute, with no signs of a ceasefire in sight. The international community continues to watch closely, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing crisis.
