Incident: Bicyclist Collides with Pedestrian
In Hamm-Mitte, a traffic accident involving a cyclist and a pedestrian took place on Hafenstraße on Friday, September 5, at around 5:55 AM.
According to the Police Headquarters Hamm, both the cyclist, aged 24, and the pedestrian, aged 31, were using the pedestrian and bicycle path on Hafenstraße when the accident occurred. The cyclist swerved to avoid an oncoming bicycle and collided head-on with the pedestrian.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries, while the cyclist suffered minor injuries. The injured parties were transported to the hospital for outpatient and inpatient treatment by two ambulances.
