Incidents in Hünfeld and Burghaun, OhioPolice investigations underway in Hünfeld and Burghaun, Ohio
On Tuesday, August 26th, two traffic accidents occurred in the town of Hünenfeld, each involving different vehicles and resulting in varying degrees of injury to the drivers.
The first incident took place at 13:10, at a location other than the intersection of Molzbacher Straße and the road towards the city center. A 31-year-old Mercedes driver from Hünenfeld was involved in the accident. In this instance, a 67-year-old motorcyclist from Hünenfeld, riding a Honda, was traveling in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, the Mercedes driver failed to notice the motorcyclist, leading to a collision. The motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and was taken to Helios Hospital Hünfeld for treatment.
Later in the day, at 15:00, a 22-year-old motorcyclist from Fulda was involved in an accident on the L 3433 road. The accident resulted in only slight injuries to the motorcyclist, and the damage to the motorcycle was estimated at a minimum of 2,500 euros.
Another accident involving two car drivers occurred at 16:50 in Hünenfeld. The driver of a Skoda, a 20-year-old from Nüsttal, veered onto the opposite lane and collided with the side of a VW driven by a 38-year-old woman from Hünenfeld. Both drivers sustained slight injuries and were taken to Helios Hospital Hünfeld by ambulance. The extent of the damage to both vehicles was estimated at a minimum of 2,500 euros each, and both vehicles had to be towed away.
The Landespolizeidirektion Berlin (Berlin State Police Directorate), which includes the overregional Directorate for Operations/Traffic among its subdivisions, is handling the investigations into these accidents.
