Incidents of property damage, road accidents, motor scooter thefts, resistance at checkpoints, evacuations due to gas leaks, disputes, and fires in both kitchens and automobiles were reported.
In the past few days, several incidents and accidents have been reported across Reutlingen and its surrounding areas. Here is a summary of the events as provided by the Police Headquarters Reutlingen.
Property Damage in Reutlingen
Unknown individuals caused property damage at a company building on Burgstraße, Reutlingen, between Wednesday and Thursday. The damage, estimated to be several thousand euros, was caused by vandalizing the glass windows and display cases with graffiti. The motives for the damage have not been specified.
Accidents on Roads
A traffic accident on B312 near the Rommelsbach Bridge, Metzingen, resulted in four seriously injured individuals and around 35,000 euros worth of damage. Another accident occurred on B312 in Christian-Völter-Straße, Metzingen, causing around 11,000 euros worth of damage.
A collision in Albstadt's Johannes-Mauthe-Straße caused damage to three parked cars and injured an 82-year-old driver. The estimated damage is around 19,000 euros. A traffic accident on the B10 near Esslingen resulted in a severely injured motorcyclist and estimated property damage of around 3,500 euros. The Esslingen traffic police have taken over the investigation of this collision.
Incidents in Other Towns
In Wendlingen, a kitchen fire occurred in a restaurant on Bahnhof Street, causing an estimated damage of around 20,000 euros. In Unterhausen, Lichtenstein, a 42-year-old scooter rider is facing charges of driving under the influence and resisting arrest.
In Tübingen, a car caught fire on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the driver being taken to a clinic for examination. A 68-year-old woman refused to take an alcohol test and attacked officers during police measures in an unusual car fire in Tübingen.
A gas leak led to the evacuation of several stores and around 100 people in the Auingen industrial park, Münsingen. A dispute between two tenants in Unterensingen led to a 27-year-old being injured with a knife on the arm. The Wendlingen police post has taken over the further investigation of this dispute.
