Rainy and cool temperatures expected at the onset of the week - Inclement weather marked by chilly temperatures and rainfall at the beginning of the week

The German Weather Service (DWD) has predicted cool and rainy weather at the start of the week. As we move into autumn, temperatures are expected to drop significantly overnight into Tuesday, ranging between 14 and 10 degrees.

On Monday, the weather will be cloudy and cool, with rain starting in the west and Allgäu in the afternoon. Those on the move should bring a thick sweater or jacket, especially at night, due to the drop in temperature. Rainproof clothing and an umbrella will likely be necessary in the southwest.

The weather on Wednesday starts out changeable, according to the DWD. It will be cloudy and cool in the morning, but the cloud cover breaks up in the afternoon, leading to increasing dryness and sunshine. In the southwest, there is no need for rainproof clothing or an umbrella in the afternoon. However, in the north and west, rainproof clothing may still be necessary.

In Stuttgart, occasional light showers and possible thunderstorms are predicted, with temperatures around 19°C. In Baden, temperatures could reach up to 24 degrees, while in the Ostalb, temperatures could reach up to 19 degrees on Wednesday.

Thursday will also be rainy, with rain moving in from the west. High temperatures on Thursday will range between 21 and 25 degrees. Later on Thursday, rain will move in from the west, and it may be heavy, with up to 20 litres per square metre in a short time, locally up to 40 litres per square metre in a few hours.

Overnight into Thursday, it will initially remain dry and clear. Overnight into Thursday, those on the move should still be prepared for cooler temperatures, especially at night.

As we move into the meteorological start of autumn, it is important to stay informed about the weather and dress appropriately for the conditions. The DWD will continue to provide updates on the weather throughout the week.
