Increased Rail Service in and near Münster
In North Rhine-Westphalia, passengers traveling on the RB 64 route between Altenberge and Borghorst are experiencing reduced speeds, delays, and cancellations due to ongoing track repairs. A replacement bus service (SEV) has been set up to accommodate passengers during this time.
Unfortunately, the cause of these disruptions and the duration they will last are not yet known, according to the zuginfo.nrw portal. Passengers are advised to check their train schedules on the online travel information system for updates.
On a positive note, National Express is increasing the frequency of the RE 7 between Münster and Hamm from September 6th. The trains will now operate for an additional hour in the evenings, and there will be one extra trip in each direction due to this change.
Starting in October, the regular schedules will resume on the Teuto-Bahn (RB 66) between Münster and Osnabrück, as well as on the Ems-Bahn (RB 65) between Münster and Rheine. Eurobahn had already restored its previously reduced service between Münster and Hamm (RB 69, 89) to its normal level at the end of August, and it will also increase its service to Bielefeld (RB 67) from October.
However, it's important to note that the RB 64 route between Altenberge and Borghorst is not fully accessible to all trains. The route between Münster Zentrum Nord and Greven is also currently experiencing disruptions, and the duration of these disruptions is not yet known.
For passengers traveling on the RB 64 route between Altenberge and Borghorst, it's recommended to allow extra time for their journey and to stay informed through the zuginfo.nrw portal or other reliable sources.
